Conveyancing Work
We have more than 15 years post admission conveyancing experience and familiar with the transfer and registration process in the Deeds Registry. Only an admitted Conveyancer can transfer and register an immovable property at the Deeds Registry.
When a person purchase or sells, donates or inherit residential or commercial property, we assist clients with drafting of sale or donation agreement, preparation of power of attorney to pass transfer, preparation of deed of conventional or sectional title transfer, preparation of registration and cancellation of mortgage bonds, preparation of subdivision and consolidation of properties, preparation of endorsements, preparation of consents, application for rates or clearance figures from the municipality, application for bond cancellation figures, application to obtain electrical certificate, application for transfer duty, levy or exemption from SARS.
When all these documents are in the file, we will then lodge the transfer documents at the Deeds Office. After lodgement, the deeds come up for preparation, then queries are raised if any and if not, registration date will be provided.
On the date of registration our Conveyancer will go to the Deeds Office and appear before the Registrar to register the property. Registration usually takes 4-8 weeks depending on the queries or the backlog in that Deeds Registry. After registration of property a title will be issued in the name of client and will be given the original title deed for safekeeping.
